Description
We'll leave San Luis to visit 'El rancho de las guacamayas', en ecological sanctuary found about a one and a half hour drive from the capital, where more than 200 specimens of this endangered species inhabit freely; In this sanctuary, we'll be able to enjoy watching the bird in two different schedules, early at sunrise when the eat and fly opff for the day, or late in the afternoon, when they return for supper and prepare to sleep. We can be as close to them as 2 meters away from the macaws, take photo and video, always minding certain considerations in order not to alter them; as they are flying around, we can take a 2 mile hike around the ranch, stopping by a few viewpoints, where we will continue to watch birds as they fly by.
