Afterward, we'll visit the Montebello Lakes and then transfer to Campamento Río Ixcan where we'll sleep by the Lacantún River with a beautiful chorus of howler monkeys. (Lunch included) Day 2: Early in the morning, we'll explore the jungle by motorboat along the Lacantún River, where we can observe the flora and fauna of the Chiapas jungle. Later, we'll transfer to Campamento Río Lacanjá, where we'll spend the night deep in the jungle. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner included). Day 3: Early morning, we'll head to the Chol community of Frontera Corozal, where we'll board a motorboat to sail the mightiest river in Mexico, the Usumacinta River, until we reach the lost city of Yaxchilán. Nestled amidst the jungle, Yaxchilán boasts some of the most astonishing archaeological sites in Chiapas. We'll return to the campsite for a 2-hour jungle trek to visit the Moctuniha waterfalls and take a refreshing dip in this paradisiacal spot. We'll spend the night at Campamento Río Lacanjá. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner included). Day 4: Early morning, we'll transfer to the archaeological site of Palenque to explore one of the most important Mayan cities.
