Your first stop will be at family-owned palenques, where you'll witness the traditional methods of mezcal production, from harvesting the agave plant to distillation using clay pots and copper stills. Unlike commercial distilleries, these small-scale producers offer an authentic glimpse into artisanal mezcal making. Enjoy free tastings of a variety of premium mezcals, including Espadín, Cuishe, Madrecuishe, Tobalá, Tepextate, and more. There's no pressure to buy, but you'll have the opportunity to purchase certified mezcal directly from the producers.
