Description

Enjoy a 2-day tour of Mexico City's main cultural and archaeological attractions and navigate the canals of Xochimilco. Day 1: Teotihuacan, Guadalupe Sanctuary and Tlatelolco Begin your adventure by visiting Tlatelolco, the important Aztec archaeological site, and the Plaza de las 3 Culturas, a space that fuses pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern times. Then, head to the Basilica of Guadalupe, one of the most revered shrines in the world, where millions of pilgrims arrive each year. Next, explore Teotihuacan, known as the City of the Gods. At the end, you will be transferred back to the meeting point. Day 2: Coyoacán and National University Your day begins in Coyoacán, a neighborhood full of history, where you will stroll through its cobblestone streets and enjoy the traditional architecture. You will also have time to discover local handicrafts in a cooperative store. Then, visit the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with murals by renowned artists Diego Rivera and Juan O'Gorman. The last stop will be in Xochimilco, famous for its canals since Aztec times. Enjoy a ride on a trajinera, a colorful boat, while listening to live music and shopping for some local snacks. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to the meeting point.
