If you are in another area, we will indicate the nearest meeting points. One day before your departure, we will send you the pick-up time, we will pick you up and head north of Mexico City to visit 'La Villa de Guadalupe', known for being the second most visited Catholic site in the world (the first being St. Peter's Basilica in Rome). Did you know that the Tilma, where the image of the Virgin is imprinted, is actually considered a codex? It has been studied by scientists, Nobel Prize winners, etc., and holds so many secrets that you will be even more fascinated at the end of your visit. La Villa de Guadalupe is the favorite destination for more than 20 million pilgrims who visit each year to worship the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, La Morenita, or La Madre de América, as many affectionately call her. On this tour, you will learn many details about the history and secrets, as well as important events since her first appearance. We will stop to visit the Expiatory Temple of Christ the King, which was the old basilica. We will also visit the extraordinary Mexican Baroque jewel, the Chapel of El Pocito, with its miracles, where people used to wash their wounds and drink the water, as they attributed healing properties to it. We will visit the Chapel of the Indians, and of course we will climb the Cerro del Tepeyac via a steep staircase until we reach the Chapel of the Cerrito, built on the site of the first apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe, popularly remembered as the miracle of the flowers or the Roses of Castile. And of course, we will cross the new Basilica to see the original tilma, as well as learn stories that have happened over time, such as the attack with an explosive and more interesting facts, and we will pass by the Blessing of the Father on duty. Finally, we will return to your initial meeting point and say goodbye approximately four hours later.
