Discover the mangrove reserve through a boat tour Observe various endemic and migratory birds that live in the mangroves Bird watching includes binoculars to observe them up close The best season to see many flamingos in Celestún is between December and March; The rest of the months there are few or no flamingos, however, other types of local birds can be observed. Discover this incredible mangrove reserve aboard a boat, which has a capacity for a maximum of 8 people. You will visit: 1. Bird Island, the resting area for a great diversity of local and migratory birds. 2. The union of the sea with the estuary. 3. Ruins of La Herradura. 4. Pink flamingo sighting area. 5. We will cross a mangrove tunnel. 6. Observation of a freshwater spring. 7. Enjoy a relaxing Mayan clay bath on the beach. The boat tour lasts 2 hours. Enjoy eating at a beachfront restaurant where you can also lounge and swim. Celestún is the most beautiful beach in the state with crystal clear waters all year round.

  • It is important to know that the best season to see pink flamingos in Celestún is between December and March. Between April and November few or no flamingos are seen, however, other birds of the region are seen.
