Meet your guide at one of the designated starting points in Mérida, then climb aboard a van to begin your journey. Make your first stop of the day at the archaeological zone of Chichén Itzá. Enter the great Mayan city to see El Castillo, built to honor the god Kukulcán. Immerse yourself in Mayan culture on a guided tour and enjoy free time to explore the ancient buildings on your own. Afterward, head over to a pristine cenote. Admire Ik Kil, Mayan for “The Place of the Winds”, a park surrounded by exotic plants and old large trees. Gaze at a variety of birds, such as toucans, parrots, mockingbirds, cardinals, and the local 'tho' species. Take a dip in the gorgeous cenote at the center of the park to freshen up before moving on. Taste a delicious buffet meale and one refreshing drink (flavored water) in the restaurant Xaybeh, it´s located at 5 minutes from the cenote Ik Kil. Finally, arrive in the magical town of Izamal for a guided stroll. Notice how all homes and buildings are painted yellow and snap some amazing photos of this picturesque location.
