Description

If there is one thing that characterizes the Yucatan Peninsula, it is its subway rivers. The Riviera Maya has the largest concentration of these rivers of great beauty. Divers come from all over the world to dive in these crystal clear, sweet and mineral waters. The sun's rays penetrating the cavern offer us a magical spectacle of living light, floating among stalactites and stalagmites, through clouds of sulfur, we experience a mystical dive. It is understandable that these subway rivers, called Cenotes, were sacred to the Maya. Part of the sacred nature of these lands. We go to the cenote by van or pick up, 4 divers maximum per tour guide. All our cenote tour guides are certified cave guides and are equipped with back ups for safety. At the entrance, we will buy the cenote tickets, in some cenotes you must pay for your camera. The first thing we will do when we arrive at the cenote will be to set up the equipment, make sure the tanks are full, and that everyone has the proper lights and weights. The tour guide will give you a good briefing, explaining how the cenotes were formed, what you are going to see, the safety rules, communication in the cavern and some understandable prohibitions. All for your safety and well being. After the first dive, which lasts about 40 minutes approximately. We will make a break of about 30 min, to go to the restrooms, change tanks, debriefing, if you are already hungry eat a sandwich and drink water. The next dive will also last about 40 minutes. And at the end we will pick up all the equipment and after saying goodbye, we will return to the hotels or apartments, where we are staying. The most accessible cenotes have showers, bathrooms and dressing rooms.
