Description

Start your day with a comfortable transfer from your hotel in Cancun or the Riviera Maya to Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a certified bilingual tour guide, who will take you on a tour of the majestic archaeological site. The tour begins with a visit to the imposing pyramid of Kukulcan (El Castillo), where you will learn about its advanced architecture, its astronomical alignments and the fascinating play of light and shadow that occurs during the equinoxes. This monument is one of the main attractions of Chichén Itzá and a symbol of the Mayan civilization. Along the tour, you will explore other areas of the city, such as the Ball Court, where an ancient ceremonial game was played, and the Temple of the Warriors, surrounded by columns carved with figures of warriors and mythological animals. El Caracol, an ancient astronomical observatory, will reveal the Maya's advanced knowledge of the celestial bodies. After exploring the ruins, the tour will take you to a sacred cenote, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystalline waters. This cenote has a cultural and spiritual significance for the Maya, as it was used for sacred ceremonies. At the end of the visit to Chichén Itzá and the cenote, you will enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try typical dishes of the region, such as cochinita pibil, panuchos and aguas frescas. Finally, you will be transported back to your hotel, closing a day full of history, culture and nature.
