Description

Experience the ultimate exploration of Chiapas with our 6-day private adventure excursion. Beginning with a breathtaking boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon, where you'll marvel at towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls, you'll then delve into the colonial charm of Chiapa de Corzo and San Cristobal de las Casas. Day 1 Reception at Tuxtla Gutierrez Airport. (40 minutes later) Start with an exciting boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon, home to a great variety of fauna and imposing cliffs. Explore the colonial beauty of Chiapa de Corzo before delving into the cultural treasures of San Cristobal de las Casas. Day 2 City tour of San Cristobal, visiting the Church of Santo Domingo, which is considered the most attractive in the town. You will also visit the Mega Plaza of Crafts in the Atrios of Santo Domingo and the Church of La Caridad. We will continue to visit the Central Park and its Cathedral, plus an Amber workshop. We will continue to visit the Indigenous Communities of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula. Return to San Cristobal, afternoon and evening free. Day 3 Immerse yourself in the heart of nature by visiting the impressive Agua Azul and Misol Ha waterfalls. Enjoy the tranquility of the lush surroundings and cool off in the crystal-clear waters. Transfer to your hotel in Palenque. Day 4 Early departure from your hotel to visit the most important jungle in North America for its size and biodiversity (Lacandon Jungle). Time for breakfast on the road, we continue to the Archaeological Zone of Bonampak (famous for having the best preserved murals of the Mayan culture) we continue to Frontera Corozal where we will take a private boat to navigate the Usumacinta River which is the natural border between Guatemala and Mexico. We arrive at Yaxchilan with its jungle environment and we will have wildlife sightings (normally it is possible to observe howler monkeys and spider monkeys and see a great variety of birds). Return to Frontera Corozal, time for your meals and transfer to Lacanja, check in for 1 night at the Lacandon Camp (cabin). Day 5 Departure at the indicated time for the Rafting Activity and hiking in the Jungle with your Lacandon Guide, you will receive instructions before starting this activity: After we continue to Palenque. Day 6 Departure to the Palenque Archaeological Zone, where you will unravel the mysteries of the ancient Mayan civilization. Explore the majestic ruins, including the Palace and the Temple of the Inscriptions, and delve into the rich history of Chiapas at the Site Museum. Conclude your trip with a visit to the town of Palenque before heading to the Palenque airport or Villa Hermosa airport. (With comfortable transportation, expert guides, and all entrance fees included, this excursion offers an unforgettable exploration of Chiapas.

  • You must arrive at the airport before 2:00 p.m.
  • It is recommended to wear mainly cotton and light-colored clothing
  • On the Sumidero Canyon boat, wear sunscreen, a cap or hat, a long-sleeved shirt or blouse.
  • Only in San Cristobal (cold temperatures at night from December to February)
  • No mosquitoes in San Cristobal. Mosquito repellent from June to January for Palenque and Selva.
  • Rafting can only be done by children over 8 years old
