Infancias en Silencio is a space to reflect on the vulnerability experienced by millions of children and adolescents and on the urgent need to break the silence that perpetuates abuse.
Highlights
- Raise awareness and take action to protect children's rights.
- Understand how abuse affects the overall development of children.
- Recognize your individual role in protecting children.
Description
Like other projects that promote meaningful change and inspire awareness, 'Infancias en Silencio' (Children in Silence) is a new temporary exhibition that reflects on the fact that no child deserves to be exploited or sexually abused. Today's children will be responsible for the future of our country and the world.
That is why we must give them a dignified childhood.
This exhibition on violence against girls, boys, and adolescents at the Museum of Memory and Tolerance will highlight the different types of abuse they suffer on a daily basis and make an urgent call: it is time to stop the normalization, justification, and recurrence of violence in the home, school, public spaces, and virtual environments.
Throughout seven rooms, visitors will understand the vulnerabilities, particularities, and weight of the imaginaries and beliefs that place children in such an exposed position vis-à-vis adults, the ways in which violence is exercised, but above all, the ways to prevent it and create a different, responsible awareness that is in line with children's rights.
- Come and learn the key guidelines for empathetic parenting.
- Find out how to detect signs of abuse.
- Identify tools to protect children in the digital world.
Let's not waste any more time! The new generations deserve a better future.
